The Circle Ensemble Theatre of Athens, GA will be traveling to Atlanta this May to present the Atlanta area premiere of the Kennedy Center/ACTF Award Winning Play ATTIC by Daniel Guyton at the first ever Atlanta Fringe Festival! The AFF runs from May 9th through May 13th in various locations around Atlanta, and features several plays by local, non-local, and international playwrights.

Written by Georgia playwright Daniel Guyton, ATTIC has been hailed by critics as “The most innovative, original play I’ve ever seen.” (Gary Garrison, Executive Director of The Dramatists Guild), as well as, “Riveting, dark presentation of the inside of a schizoid head.” (Nick Boretz, Working Title Playwrights). The play centers around William, a young man with a mental illness, and his attempts to reconnect with his family, despite his dark urges which threaten to destroy them all.

The play won the Kennedy Center/ACTF short play award in 2004 and has been produced several times around the country (including an upcoming show in Manhattan, NY). The Circle Ensemble Theatre produced ATTIC in 2011 in Athens, and are now reprising the show for its Atlanta debut.

Directed by Joelle Re Arp Dunham, and starring Scotty Gannon, Dusty Drake, Kathleen Hogan, and Jeff Marshall.
