About UsAtlanta Coalition of Performing Arts ~ 24 Years of Service to the Arts2006 Recipient of the Bank of America Neighborhood Builders Award Atlanta Coalition of Performing Arts (ACPA) is the nonprofit alliance of greater Atlanta's performing arts organizations and professionals. Our mission is dedicated to programs and services that provide a nurturing environment for the growth of the performing arts, and advance the role they play within the fabric of our society. Our service organization proudly celebrates over two decades of supporting and promoting greater Atlanta's rich, culturally diverse theatre, dance, and music scene. ACPA grew out of an organization called OOPS, the Off Off Peachtree Syndicate. In 1984, OOPS was officially incorporated as the Atlanta Coalition of Theatres, which began conducting business as the Atlanta Coalition of Performing Arts in 2000. Over the years, ACPA has grown from 32 founding members to over 170 Partner and Associate organizations from over a dozen greater Atlanta counties. In addition, ACPA boasts of nearly 400 Individual member performing arts professionals. Throughout its history, ACPA has been a point of connectivity for the region's performing arts community and has evolved to encompass a wide range of programs and services. Those include the highly touted AtlantaPerforms.com and AtlantaPerforms.BIZ, Georgia Open Arts Month (aka GO ARTS Month), Atlanta ShowGuide magazine, annual Unified Auditions, and the Georgia Arts & Entertainment Legacy Awards. Of special note are our discount ticket services, including the AtlanTIX half-price ticket booths and online advance discount tickets via GeorgiaPerforms.com. ACPA's ticket services are the largest single resource of earned income for the overall nonprofit performing arts industry of Georgia, and are operated in partnership with the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau. In recognition of the significant role our organization plays, in 2006 ACPA was honored by Bank of America as a recipient of their prestigious Neighborhood Builders Award.
